Important Terms
BBYO: n. used to stand for B'nai B'rith Youth Organization, but now it's just BBYO. It's a Jewish youth organization where teens in grades 8-12 are provided with leadership oppurtunities and social experiences.
BBG: n. stands for B'nai
B'rith Girl. The girl part of BBYO.
AZA: n. stands for Aleph Zadik Aleph. The guy part of BBYO
NRE: n. stands for Northern Region East, the region OC belongs to. Inside NRE is Baltimore Council, DC Council and NoVA Council (us!)
NoVA: n. stands for Northern Virginia Council. Includes 2 BBG Chapters, 2 AZA Chapters, and 1 BBYO chapter (girls + boys)
OC/Or Chadash: A BBG Chapter in NoVA. The Or Chadash Fireflies are based in Arlington, Falls Church and Alexandria.
Lahat: A BBG Chapter in NoVA. The Lahat Spicy Tamales are based in Fairfax.
Liviu Librescu: An AZA Chapter in NoVA. The Librescu Lemurs are based in Fairfax.
